Description

In August 1949, Wu Shi, who was supposed to welcome the liberation in Fuzhou, was suddenly appointed by Chiang Kai-shek as the Deputy Minister of National Defense of the National Government.
In order to obtain more intelligence, Wu Shi resolutely went to Taiwan to take office according to the instructions of the party organization and used his work convenience to provide the East China Bureau of the Communist Party of China with important information, such as the changes in the troop strength on Kinmen Island and the mobilization of the national army in the Southwest Campaign.
Zhu Feng was originally going to return to Shanghai, but he learned that Wu Shi's original courier had died and the organization needed to send a new courier to Taiwan, so he resolutely gave up the opportunity to reunite with his family and went to Taiwan alone. Wu Shi and Zhu Feng worked closely together and sent out many important pieces of intelligence.
In February 1950, Wu Shi, Zhu Feng, Chen Baocang, Nie Xi and others were unfortunately arrested and died in Ximachang Town, Taipei due to betrayal by traitors, but the Zhoushan troop deployment map they sent helped the People's Liberation Army to successfully liberate the Zhoushan Islands and made contributions to the national liberation cause.
